1988 gl1500 vacuum lines and what be eliminated

I pulled the carbs off my 88 gl1500 to rebuild them. Before putting it all back together are there any vacuum lines or valves I can eliminate without causing running issues. The bike is a California bike so its has extra items that 49 state bikes don't. It also has the high altitude valve. I'm replacing all the vacuum lines and carb insulators and thought if there valves that can be left off nows the time to do so. Thanks Ron

On my 88 (49 state model). I replaced ALL the vacuum hoses that was connected directly to the intake! I think there are 2 different sizes. Take them to your favorite auto parts store and get 3-6 feet of each. The hose between the 2 boots would be first! Then the one on the left side intake. Those are the 2 most common failure ones.
