85 LTD swapping EFI with Carbs

Is this possible. Having major performance issues with the fuel injection. Was suggested that I replace with Carbs. Is this possible and if so what carbs do you suggest and what all is involved. Sounds like a major can of worms to me. Thanks

the simplest way to carbs would be to follow the Single Carb thread.

are you convinced there is no way to cure the FI blues?

With 4 carbs or fabricating an induction system and a single carb is quite an undertaking if you do not have a lot of ability. I would try to solve the FI Blues.

Worked on the "big rigs" for 45 years now just riding my Wing whenever I can. Gets cold in Wisconsin.

Your biggest problem would be the ignition system. It is part of the EFI system and the carbed models have a different system. Something could be figured out I'm sure.
