I put one of these on my stock sidestand - it has more surface area, so better when parking on gravel etc. The side effect is that the side stand is easier to get with my foot: http://cyclemax.com/inc/sdetail/1500...d_pad/86/57412
I didn't really need an easier to grab sidestand - I usually put it on the center stand, while I'm on the bike (I cut down a stock center stand by .75" to make a DIY ride-off center stand), so I have to get my foot under the passenger floorboard and press down to get it on the stand - the sidestand is easy compared to the center stand, while on the bike. If anything, the extra surface area of the sidestand 'foot' interferes slightly, on occasion, when riding, if I move my foot back on the footpeg a bit.
