low speeds tends to make mc run hot,airflow below 40 or so isn't enough airflow and fan doesn;t really pull that much air,real test is what happens at about 50+

You can test the sensor. @140f it should read 104 ohms, @185 f 43.9 ohms, @ 232f 20.3 ohms.

Just another thought. When I'm test riding without the side plastics on each side of the radiator, I've noticed both my 1200's run a little hotter.

Yes, I built an 1100 and thought I could do without the air scoops, I was wrong.
