Unhappy Fuel & Temp Guages and reverse do not work

Good afternoon,
I am frustrated. Last week my Honda Goldwing was working and yesterday, the fuel and temperature gauges do not work. I also noticed that when I am riding the shift to 5th gear, the light does not come on. When I put my bike in reverse, the bike does not move.

Could it be one of those relays, say # 3 or # 6?

Can anyone help.

Thanks

john

I recall reading this symptom set before. You are on the right track with the relays, and ck the Reverse switch

beyond that -until the electrical gurus get home from riding, begin a search on here with same words used in this thread title, or scroll thru the technical section and you will find something last posted within 1 or 2 months = that will have your cure!

Thats the great thing about this forum, chances are someone has encountered the same prob and fix~

The items not working are powered from the Tail Main Relay # 3.

But check the # 8 tail illumination (15-amp) fuse first.

It will not be the reverse lever switch.

Swap the top right hand relay in the relay box with another relay in that box of the same amperage. See if that works better.

If you will do what DBohrer says you will find the problem. He knows his stuff on electrical.

Thanks. I have the same Goldwing color as yours. What a beauty.
