1500 CB question

When I took the side covers off and detached the wires to my
CB everything worked just fine ! When I replaced the side cover and hooked up the wires I now have NO SQUELCH and it doesnt receive.
My AM and FM work ok but is it possiable that the radio would stll work and not the CB if I accidentky reversed the antenna wires ? Just wondering before I take it apart again ! Thanks

I don't know how you can disconnect the radio antenna by taking off the side cover, it plugs into the bottom of the radio, but you must have had both antennas disconnected if you think you got them crossed.

Is it possible you pushed the control knob IN and switched the system from speakers to headphones?
My 94 cb suddenly wouldn't play, until a wise Winger showed me the little icon on the dash indicating headphone mode was On...Doh!

I think you might have a loose or disconnected ground wire. It's located inside the left cavity and screws onto the Phillips screw

Still trying to find no sound from the CB ! The green wire is attached to the screw on the CB mount but where does it attach to on the other end? I don't have a schematic for the electrical wiring for the CB. It appears to be OEM .
