Take a look into the radiator while the engine is running. Any sign of bubble rising up into the neck of the radiator are definitely a sign of a leaking head gasket. One other thing I'd check is the motor oil. If it looks chocolaty or has some fudgy looking gunk on the dipstick, that's also a sign of a leaking head gasket. The first thing I'd do for the symptom you describe would be to re-torque the cylinder head. It only takes a few minutes and one can often find the torque lower than specs due to settling of the gasket.
