Motorcycle Bob is great. Years at a Honda shop. Has tried to teach me this several times but duh.

I have to tell you guys a story about my first date. Her name was Loretta and she was beautiful. I asked her out and took her to the Terre Haute Action track for the sprint cars. She loved the idea. When we got there I noticed a lot of empty seats right at track level and we sat there. That first lap as the cars roared by I realized why no one was sitting down there. Needless to say, after the dust sorta settled, I never got another date with Loretta.

Let me know when you're here Redwing.

I couldn't fix my brakes so I made the horn louder
Motor started to knock. Turned up the radio.

Take a look into the radiator while the engine is running. Any sign of bubble rising up into the neck of the radiator are definitely a sign of a leaking head gasket. One other thing I'd check is the motor oil. If it looks chocolaty or has some fudgy looking gunk on the dipstick, that's also a sign of a leaking head gasket. The first thing I'd do for the symptom you describe would be to re-torque the cylinder head. It only takes a few minutes and one can often find the torque lower than specs due to settling of the gasket.

Been there. Bristol is just as bad. Got there late and the only seats were second row up. Had drifts of rubber on both shoulders. Some things you just can't tell others about. You just have to be there. Fun though.
