Probably not the problem but since you just got the bike you might change the fuel filter just to make sure. A clogged fuel filter can sure make her quit fast and make vaporlock problems even worse.

I agree stalling issues are an indicator of fuel restriction such as a plugged up fuel filter.

Is there an oem fuel pump on the motorcycle if so is it making loud clicking noises sometimes thought to resemble the sound of an arcing plug wire?

If you change the fuel filter, splurge a bit and buy one of those $14 units from Randakk. They can be easily disassembled and cleaned. Has already saved me by catching crap from my tank.

I couldn't fix my brakes so I made the horn louder
Motor started to knock. Turned up the radio.
