You could get 2 hikers water-carrying/bladder backpacks, 2 qts of ice water with a bite valve on the end of hose. $25 each

Hers could sit on the trunk rack, yours can go on the tank or wear it

pax armrest serve as mount for her drink holder- which attaches to the outside of armrest

Does your backrest have a pocket on the back- for a water bottle?

Ive seen one on harleys that attaches to front of saddlebag

I don't have my backrest on with passenger, not enough room

Has anybody used the windshield suction mounts from a garmin GPS? will it hold or not worth trying? I just bought a garmin nuvi 780 and want to use it on my trip

My 2797 GPS with a 7 inch screen won't stay on the curved windshield.
In fact, my previous 5 inch Garmin GPS would not stay on the screen.

That is why I went to RAM mount off the hand grips.

is the ball mount on back of the nuvi the same size as the ram mount?
