If you don't the entire internals will move and not function correctly. Just a thought.

Thanks Dodge!

rear, or front master cyl?

If both front & rear calipers are sticking, wouldn't it be the front master cylinder acting up?
If so, there are brand new, cheap chinese knock offs available for the 1200 (see seller partsangel on EBay)...no help if it's the rear master cyl though..nothing new available..
I replaced my front m cyl on my GL1000 with one of these, works great!
good luck,
Carsh

From the '83 forward 'Wings have had linked braking. On the 12s the right front caliper is actuated by the rear master.

Why ain't we ridin'?

yeah, I get it now, after looking at the fische, would have to be the rear m cyl acting up,
good luck finding a new one, rebuild the old using lots of compressed air thru the 2 relief ports..

I see now, apparently the F Mcyl only operates the L F Caliper, not tied in to the rear system at all..
