Air Shock problems GL 1500

Today I pulled the rear end to grease the splines of the drive shaft, and the eyelet on the bottom of the air shock is broken. I have a set of air shocks off my old gl1200 ltd. that are in very good condition. So I'm thinking of using them. I will have to build a manafold so I can hook up both shocks. I have the air lines and fittings so it should be pretty easy. I also thought of just using 1 shock and leave the spring shock on the other side like it was stock. It's to late now to do anything so I thought I would ask you guys and maybe someone has tired this. Thanks for your insight.

I would stick with the OEM shock. (air shock) (Air cushion) It's all engineered to go together. Can be had for $50 on eBay.

Worked on the "big rigs" for 45 years now just riding my Wing whenever I can. Gets cold in Wisconsin.

Just a follow up on the shocks, when I pulled the Air shocks off the LTD I set them up so the fluid wouldn't come out and took a picture of them thinking I would sell them. Well the wife laid them on there side and all the fluid came out. I had to take them apart to put fluid in and clean them out. I decide to only use one of the shocks like the gl1500 and installed it . Every thing went back together like stock and seems to be really good. I also installed the new Dunlop e4 and greased the splines on the drive shaft. I changed the oil in the final drive and cleaned everything so the bike is back together but I can't get it out to ride it for a little bit. Rained today and I have to drive it out when the ground is dry or I'll tear up the grass. That E4 tire looks really mean, just a side note because I don't know how it will handle yet but it looks good. LOL
