Exclamation GL1800 no start

Hi all, did the first road test with the repairs done. (new bag rack, new left saddle bag and associated plastic parts).

Thought I had the cat by the tail, so after a couple of hours and 125 miles I stopped for lunch. Then decided to fill the tank, started up and went across the street. Topped it off, jumped on, hit the starter
NADA. Rechecked all the usual culprits, kill switch? on, neutral switch? on. kickstand? up. Cycle the key,
fuel pump on, FI light out, ABS light on, oil pressure light, on. hit the start sw, heard the solenoid click,
no turn of the starter.
Long to short, bump started, (very easy btw), rode home with no problems.
Interestingly, for giggles, I tried reverse to put it away and reverse worked. Shut it off and immediately tried to start, no joy. Neither did reverse work again.
I'm thinking start relay B in some fashion, so here's my real question.
Do I really have to pull the left bag to get to the relay? Any short shortcuts for troubleshooting?
If not the relay(s), I 'm at 53k miles, am I looking at a starter brush replacement?

Thanks for your input!

No Start

Do the simple checks first. How old is your battery?

I've learned so much from my mistakes, I'm thinking about making a few more.

You're using a conventional battery?
May I suggest a maintenance free battery.
What is the CCA of the battery?

Did you check the battery terminal bolts? BTW what year? 200t doesn't help.

Good catch, that didn't occur to me.

Logically 06 since it does have navigation.

Slipped past me, I read it as a 2001.

update

good questions all,

This is a 2006 model

The battery is a 270cca, and just to be sure, I hooked up my 700cca battery from the truck and tried a start. NADA, same as before.
At least it is staying broke, I hate those intermittent electrical problems! So, bit the bullet and yanked the left bag. In the morning I'll run the trouble shooting guide for A & B, even though I'm 75% sure I'll find the start B to be the culprit.
Thanks again for your suggestions, I'll update the thread as soon as I know something.

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!!!!!!!
