Brake master cylinder and clutch master cylinder.

I’m going over my 1984 gl1200 standard , I haven’t started doing anything yet, I’m looking at my brake and clutch master cylinders, and I can see on the 2 of them I will need sight glasses, the clutch is all gunk out and looks like it will need rebuild, and also the brake master cylinder is in sorry conditions too. My question is , should I rebuild them , or get new ones??? On EBay the have a set for $36 free shipping. And also do you think that they will fit the bike. The seller claims that they fit , but it is EBay and you have to wander and be suspicious. I will include link for the cylinders. Thanks as always.

Do they have provisions to mount and operate the switches?

Do they push the correct amount of fluid through the system?

Why ain't we ridin'?

I would be skeptical on that purchase, best look for your model but the price will be more, most likely you can clean yours up,brake fluid wonít corroded the aluminum, get some rebuild kits and clean them, assure the tiny hole in the bottom is clear ( I think your will have that, the 1500 does)
New sight glasses can be purchased

First take yours apart and see if the bores are corroded . Kits are pretty cheap. The rear master, the clutch slave and the brake calipers should be inspected also.

Thanks again for the great advice to ALL of YOU. I will inspect all of the parts and if no damage to the parts, I will rebuild them all .
