As previously mentioned, I tried to use an LED in the low fuel light position, but it didn't work because even when it was off it leaked enough magic pixies that the LED was slightly lit. I checked with one of my boys, who knows of such things, and he said basically 'it wants a resistor, put one in' so I started trying different sizes and found that it worked just fine with the LED if you put a resistor in parallel with the LED. Anything between a 47ohm and 220ohm worked, so I put 5 in series that equaled 200ohm and could carry 1.5 watts. I figured they have to heat up so that needs to be dealt with, so I thermal epoxied them to an aluminum heat sink and potted them in solid for vibration control. No kill like overkill. Voila! LED low fuel light, for a total cost of about a dollar.

Apologies for the lack of updates. I just picked up a milling machine and industrial bandsaw which are currently the primary projects, GL12 will resume once those are rebuilt and in their spots.
