1993 1500 iterstate radio. what can i upgrade to. i'd like usb plug for flash drive music, or mp3 player capability, or bluetooth. capability. seems i may be selling the bike this spring.but it has a roadsmith kit with a 9 gal aux fuel tank that i like. thanks lb roll on and throttle up
i know there is a pigtail to the left pocket. can i tap into it with a usb adapter. if i do will it work?
I had Sierra Electronic's add the aux's in to my radio and ran the wire to my phone for music. You use the stock set up, but no blue tooth or phone in the helmet. I put a charging port in the left pocket to keep the phone or Ipod charged. Works good and Sierra also fixed my Tape player. New Belt. I have Bluetooth on my new helmet and it works good without the bike stuff. If I set up Pandora on my phone this system would be perfect. If you have the money Sena makes a lot of stuff that you don't need any of the bike stuff. That's probably the best way to go and you can hook up with your riding buddy's. I have a 1993 GL 1500 also, and that radio is out of date but so is the bike. LOL
The $20 radio from Wallyworld is a4 channel AM-FM stereo (18 FM Presets), USB port for charging or phone charging, or MP3's on thumbdrive, an Aux-input for MP3's from phone/MP3 player, and it is Bluetooth compatible with headsets, and has a small remote control so "mama" can choose tunes too. It ended up looking like this, , , , (a good earth-magnet under the centershelter holds the phone steady, , , RadioComplete_1.jpg
