Happy 5th Birthday

Goldwing turns 5 yrs old tomorrow. Has almost 93k miles on it. Goal was for 100k but thats okay. Will be getting alternator rebuilt before it goes bad and a new battery at same time. Where r u guys buying your battery from? Was going to change rear end oil and put new plugs in at 100k. Should driveshaft splines be greased then? It looks like a different setup on the final drive as far as how the shaft fits in there compared with the 1500 I had. Don't know when it will be, maybe later in summer I'll be taking it on another trip(2400 miles).Still a blast to ride.

I had 122,000 on my 08 in 4 1/2 years before I wrecked it. Jut have 82,000 on the one I replaced it with and have had it 6 1/2 years.
There is no service interval but It doesn't hurt to grease the splines. I't real easy compared to a 1500 though. I made a wooden rod that fits into the end of the shaft that make it easier to put the shaft back in. I pull it out and do the splines on the front too. I wrap 2 turns of masking tape around the U-joint to hold it straight, put my rod in the end and ease it back in. I just leave the tape on it, won't hurt anything. You have to pay attention putting the final back in to get the shaft together, there's plenty of room to miss it.

With no God over the state, the state then becomes not the defender of liberty but the definer of liberty.
