VHF pinout to headset impedance

Guys - trying to splice in a VHF on the farkle shelf, for an upcoming multiple island sailing/ yacht race event, into two of our GL1500's headsets.

The VHF microphone pin out lists the impedance as 600 Ohms (pic attached).

Anyone know if our stock headsets/mics are compatible?
If so, better to wire into a second headset or directly into the intercom?

Cheers!

Hook it up and try it. Most dynamic mic cartridges are 600 ohm... but even if there's an impedance mismatch it won't hurt anything. Worst that can happen is it won't sound good.

Thanks - do you think (not hurting it) that is the same if I run it through the intercom so the passenger can participate?
