I think I was wrong once!

90 GL1500 Carb. Jetting Question
My 1090 GL1500 got to the point I was afraid to drive it,
It would not idle (could not turn idle adjuster, it was seized) on take offs I had to raise the rpm's real high and almost red line the thing to get it to take off from a stop, when I was slowing down and down shifting the engine would dye out.
I took the carbs off and found the accelerator pump was not working and when i got into the float bowls the idle jets were almost plugged up!
I un-seized the Idle adjuster, I got the accelerator pump working, but when I pulled the jets out I busted one, so I ordered a rebuild kit off e-bay.
Jets in side my carbs. are 158 mains and 60 idle the kit I bought has 155 and 158 mains along with 50 and 60 idle jets, I live in Chicago area and 99% of my ridding is at this altitude.
Why do they sell the 155 and 50's in same kit and (should I?) or (I should!) just put the 158 and 60's back into the carbs right??
