Did you test the relay to verify it was bad....??

Any chance it could have been a relay "contact" issue. And removing "reinstalling" another relay resolved the issue.

There have been cases where there was contact issues, removing/replacing the relay (somewhat cleaned the contacts) and resolved the issue (for a temporary period of time).

Wouldn't want to see a good relay thrown away...........!!!

I swapped relays from hi to low beam and the problem followed the relay. I tried the new relay in both slots and things worked as they should. Put the old relay in and things didn't work. So I didn't test it but assumed it was bad.

after you fix it go o ebay ad order LED lights.easy to install
ad sure makes a big difference
