Unhappy All hail the oracles.

Firstly thanks for accepting me into the forum and from reading a small number of posts it looks like ive come to the right place for advice . My problem thus far is Ive become the proud owner of a 2002 GL1800A that the previous owner tried to jump start using a starter pack accidentally left on 24v . The ecu was fried and i was informed other components may also be damaged . Im in the UK and a second hand unit was hard to find so sourced a US ecu, now fitted everything seems to work but fuel pump not priming so wont fire , i now know this is connected to the HISS which US bikes dont have and my question to the oracles among you guys is can i get round this or did I waste my money on this ecu and now look to be having to fork out 1200 here for an hiss compatible unit. Fingers crossed theres a solution I just want to get riding this bike.

We have been through something like this before but my memory fails me as to what to do. If I knew exactly what the HISS did it wouldn't be hard to figure out.

I wondering if the USA ECU/ECM even knows what the 'HISS' system is?

I have very little info on HISS

Video on how to use an ECU from USA for a UK/AU bike with HISS
You need to "add one wire" to the connector.

Here are all of the links about 'HISS' that I have

Mind you, I just keep Bookmarks, I do NOT read these threads to see if they will fix your bike.

this post hints that you can fix it by jury rigging things
