Need Georgia mechanic - gl1500 surging

Does anyone know of someone in Georgia that works on GW 1500. I have a 1998 with 25,000 miles that is mechanically sound. Surging like crazy and we can't seem to find the problem, either carburetor or vacuum problem most likely.

When you say its surging, is it just doing that at idle or is it doing it while driving?

It idles perfectly and runs great over about 2200 rpm. But when leaving a stop sign or red light it surges and bucks until you get to about 2200 rpm. So I would say it only does it when accelerating.

cut off a wooden tooth pick and stick it in the low idle jet. (lower brass stem) works for me
