Too much slack in throttle

93 Aspencade, 112,000 miles. I have between 3/8 & 1/2 in slack in rotation of the twistgrip before I get any throttle response. It seems to be getting worse, I didn't have anything as much as that before I took a short ride today after the oil change. Also if I am running at part throttle and let go of the twistgrip very easily it will stay in the same position and not return to idle. If I blip the throttle and release it quickly then it returns to idle immediately. When the cruise is set all works as it should. Is there any adjustment for slack in the throttle cables, if so where is it located.

Adjustment is in the cable. The non-return issue is maybe a dry cable.

Why ain't we ridin'?

Check out this thread, , , ,https://www.goldwingfacts.com/forums...tle+adjustment

You should get the correct adjustment at the "adjustments" on the handlebars, under the throttle

As you say it's getting worse I'd find out why before the cable breaks or jams.

Advise given here is free and comes with no warranty "Caveat emptor"

Ken.
