The ABS light comes on as normal but when I start riding instead of shutting off it blinks and it just keeps right on blinking.

Try to get the trouble code.
1. Remove the No. 5 and 6 control motor fuses from the fuse box (10;
page 17-5) with the ignition switch turned to OFF to be sure that
each fuse is not burned out.
FUSE BOX
• If either fuse is burned out, perform the troubleshooting of problem
code “4” (No. 5 fuse) or “5” (No. 6 fuse) without installing the fuse.
No. 5
“ABS MTR. FR.”
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON. The ABS indicator should come on.
3. Wait for 5 seconds and the ABS indicator goes off.
No. 6
“ABS MTR. RR.”
4. Install either the No. 5 or the No. 6 fuse immediately after the ABS
indicator is off (within 3 seconds).
5. The problem code is indicated by the number of times the ABS indi-
cator blinks.
TO ERASE THE PROBLEM CODE:
1. Install the remaining fuse (No. 5 or No. 6) while the problem code is
being indicated (i.e., the ABS indicator is blinking).

Thanks, Dave. I went thru the procedure a number of times. The light never did blink any codes, it just came back on solid when I put the fuse in. After about 6 tries I put the second fuse in and nothing changed, the light just stayed on solid. When I took a test ride the light started flashing as soon as I got rolling. I tried the whole thing several times with the same results. Do you have any other ideas ? I sure appreciate your help.

5. The problem code is indicated by the number of times the ABS indicator
blinks.

.Look at the cover on your fuse box just to be sure you are pulling out the correct fuses, I know some of the earlier years used fuses 3 and 4. It is probably right but Honda is known to mix things up from year to year. Pull the 2 fuses that are labeled "ABS MTR RR and ABS MTR FR."

It is important you do EXACTLY as listed. Make sure the fuses are good. Sometimes just looking at the fuse is not good enough. Test them with an ohm meter to be sure. Had a friend with ABS issues only in cooler weather. Took out wheel speed sensors and cleaned them up. Installed them just a fuzz closer and square with the toone ring. Problem solved. I suspect the sensor is slightly less sensitive in cool weather and it was just enough to set the light?????? :)
