2016 WCWJAMR!! up in record time, LOL

OK, so I hear there was some banter about the burning logs regarding next years location. One that was mentioned to me was Bend oregon. My lovely wife suggested another, PostFalls/coeur d'alene ( I still say it should be spelled Cordy Lane).

I will throw up a poll and the most votes wins.... let me do some research for two more entries... back soon.

I also would like to hear the dates yall discussed. I was wondering about a run into Canadia(copyrighted term) but mid september might be iffy.

I imagine there is plenty of good riding in the hills around Cordy Lane.

Are there any other suggestions?

Banff?

Los Angeles?

Hoboken New Jersey?

How about the suggestion of Cordy Lane. I would like to hear some pro's/con's on that. If there are no others giving cordy lane a nod, perhaps we stick with the original location of Bend...

One of the thoughts we had was to try to include a location with:
Good Camping
Hotel/Motel nearby, for those who don't camp
Places to eat fairly close by (for those like me who 1/2 camp - tent and sleeping bag, but no food/food prep stuff.)
Nice riding in the area.

And, generally somewhere that's reasonable 'central' - Oregon seems to work, as it's central to CA, OR, WA and BC/Canada riders. Banff is nice, but hotels are horribly expensive - not sure about camping, probably not cheap either. I did Jasper/Lake Louise this summer (in the car) and a basic hotel in each would run well over $200/night... The Banff area is nice - maybe somewhere outside Banff/Lake Louise, where the camping/hotels are cheaper, but the scenery is just as nice.

Bikes I've owned since June, 2013:

OK, here is my thought, PLEASE weigh in... we have always tried to make this one of the most flexible and user friendly of meet ups.

I would suggest this campground. Very close to Sisters, and bend not far. I can organize a ride for friday and for saturday out of that campground (in fact I have two in mind already).

Motels and food nearby, easy access from all directions. Also, other campgrounds in the area as backups.

Let me know whatcha think!

That looks like a nice place, with nice scenery around it. I'm really not familiar with the area, so I don't have any comments on that aspect. The only comments I would have are that where we stayed this year had wifi internet access and showers (and if you wanted, you could pay $6/night extra and stay in an RV spot with power available.) Having access to power (to recharge various gadgets - phone, tablet, bluetooth headset, GoPro camera - etc. in my case) is nice (although I got by with one of those rechargeable battery packs). Internet access is nice (in this case, there was no cell service, so my only connection back home was emails via the available wifi Internet connection.) I know to some, camping is being out in the middle of nowhere with no services etc. Since we're, I think, looking for 'middle-ground' (where those who don't camp can find a nearby motel etc.), in my opinion, we should have something with a few more facilities. Not being familiar with the area, these might not be issues (sounds like showers are available 2 miles away, which is a hassle, but doable etc.) if you're familiar with the area.

My wife won't 'camp', but may come with me next year if we stay in a motel. I'd rather be in the campground, where everybody else is, but I'll have to make the choice between Motel = wife comes, or camping = no wife - she doesn't really enjoy long rides anyways, but maybe by then I'll have her more warmed up to the idea with some progressively longer rides.

just my $.02...

The sisters area is nice.. I would think there would be some good riding around there.. Weather may be a little cooler there.......
With my new final drive and drive shaft I hope I can make the next one........

Sisters area sounds great. I love the Banff national park area but everything there is expensive, even camping. Greg and I were there in 2014. I would still be glad to go there again anytime though.

John's right because it's the "Sisters" you can add 20%.. Is there anything a little farther north ??
