MY bad. I thought you were in Arkansas.

Only a biker knows why a dog puts his head out of a window of a moving vehicle.

I bought a big gel cushion for the trip to Sturgis (had the cut out for tailbone)last year and it was no different than riding on my regular seat. Ended up buying a memory foam cushion(should have bought two(14$)) and that made a huge difference. Yes, it added 3 inches to height but it did squish and was much more comfortable than the gel for a whole lot less. Anyway, someone stole the gel off my seat at work on the one time I didn't put it in my saddlebag(bike was covered too). Will definitely take memory foam cushion on any trip more than 1.5 hrs.

Where did you pick up the memory foam from?
I should get some and have my wife make covers for them before the trip

It was at a truck stop like T/A or a Pilot or Loves. I just wished I had two as one would be nice on the back(I kept swapping back and forth and it felt good). I had a milk crate on the back seat and wedged cushion in between. Milk crate had a one gallon gas can just in case. Picture won't upload.

On fairly long days of fairly long trips on the CB550, I'd take my bath towel out of the luggage, fold it a few times and sit on it for a couple hundred miles.
It would change your seating position and padding enough to get to point "B", without tears.

'Wings don't usually require those kind of fixes.

Why ain't we ridin'?

No doubt, even with 225000 miles and never having forks or suspension work done, my 1500 was much more comfortable-but I like my 1800 better anyway.
