vacation time coming up

I am in central Illinois and am taking my vacation starting August 19 thru August 25. I am planning on riding down into Arkansas, NE corner. not sure who is near but hoping to get to meet a couple members while we are riding. only plan on being down that way for a couple days, then may head back north towards new salem Illinois, then towards Eureka Illinois, wife would like to go see Ronald Regan museum. Then maybe up towards Dubuque Iowa to visit a brother living in Dyersville. Hope I can meet a couple members while out and about

I have noticed that the corbin seat is a little hard on backside, wife did also, is there a decent not so pricy cushion that anybody could recommend?

Corbin has a rep for being pretty much the best you can get for long days with short breaks. Most other high end seats will cost about the same. My brother was pretty fond of his Alaska seat pad.

Personally, I thought the early, '88~'91 GL15 seats were about as good as it gets. Those seats, however, or shall we say the foam in those seats, is now past its prime.

Why ain't we ridin'?

I was thinking I could find a couple cushion to sit on, my bottom was a little sore after an hour or so but only needed a few minute off of it to go again. The 1st time I rode it home from Michigan can't say I really noticed

Well, the Alaska stuff isn't cheap, but those who use the, like them.

There are alternatives.

I have your solution to hard seat

Airhawk Cruiser R air seat cushion ~just over 100$ each and there is nothing to compare to riding on a 10mm cushion of air, especially when applied to a seat with a solid all-day foundation

Optional: craigslist- keyword upholstery- for a person who used to work at the big shop in town and now works from home, for half the price
They can adjust height, shave edges, add softness etc for low cost.

I think you will appreciate the airhawk on top of the corbin, I have one on my Russell Day-Long seat- its a bit firm to offer the support given- the airhawk takes away that feeling

A back support for the rider makes all day rides enjoyable

Time on a different saddle and will most likely be fine, the more you set on it the more you will get used to it,my 1500 seat is a all day comfrey ride but with assistance of the front floorboards.

Love chasing white lines but they are difficult to catch.Hate drivers with no STOPLIGHTS.

Corbins are well known as supportive, to a fault. If the seat was a custom made unit- its fitted to a specific height and weight.
Those, if you change 10 pounds it has to go back to the factory in California for foam modification

Either the local person to reconstruct it to human standards,
or I cant say enough about the ~$110 Airhawk Cruiser R, will make trip blissful, especially appreciated by your passenger.

Shoot John (AZGL1800) and Dave (Dave0430) a quick PM and ask if they would like to meet up and ride.

Only a biker knows why a dog puts his head out of a window of a moving vehicle.
