Hi all....

I have tried to add a few pictures to the gallery and it is saying too large a jpeg. The last one was 587kb. My problem is I do like to take pictures in the max mega pixel for my camera (5 mP) and I can't seem to find a way of reducing the quality/size to send.

I have Windows XP with no added programs for the camera just use the Windows and Fax viewer.

Someones help would be really appriciated.

Keep \'em upright

Not sure if this will help, as I am computer illiterate, but can you right click on a particular picture and get the words "re size picture" come up in the list? If you can, then try that. I don't understand all that pixel thingy, but I do know if the picture goes down to about 800x 600 or less it should then be okay.

There are various downloadable programs for free that can be used, but I never have got to grips with them.

I am sure some computer clever guys/gals will be along shotly to explain things properly and get you posting those shots in no time.

Microsoft includes the program named PAINT. It should be under accessories on the menu. Open the picture with that.Click on the menu item IMAGE at the top of the page, then click on 'STRETCH/SKEW. You then put a percentage in the 2 boxes for stretch that currently have 100 in them. I usually use 35. Make both boxes the same so the pic keeps is proportions.. Save the pic with a new name so your original does not get overwritten. Then you should be able upload it. If your camera does huge files you may need to go smaller than 35%, that is just the number that works for me.
