Hey Dusty, Monitor Pass sticks in my memory, went over it with my BMW relation a couple years ago during heavy wind, rain, sleet and just about everything that wasn't pleasant. There's a small store on the West side that was a Godsend, we could stop and warm up and dry out.

BTW - I nominate Highway 50 as a lonesome road:

Route 50 runs from California to Maryland across the US. Unlike Route 66 it still does.

Ahhh yes Dusty,,,,,, you sure know how to stir the soul . I can't wait to see what all comes into this thread. And I haven't had a chance or the motovation to put something together from this years trip ,,,,,,,,,,,,, yet.

Hey that Reality check looks like Utah. First gas check was 56 miles, and then the 2nd was 111 miles, and then the next stop had a big AAA tow truck shop right by the hotel.
