A few months ago, TVA decided to give the main man a raise on the grounds that he hadn't had one in 2 years. The problem I have with that is that the man was making $3mil + a year with salary and bonuses. I don't understand why someone making that a year would need a raise, but it's done. Now my power bill is going up. TVA is claiming that it is due to fuel costs, but I have a sneaking suspicion that WE are paying for this raise.

Sorry for the ramble just had to vent for a few. Thanks for listening.

Nah, you're a little ways away from me to catch the blame on this one. It's an awful big coincidence that this happened so close together, don't you think.

Sadhow he's saying he didn't want the raise and that it was out of his control and finally "gave in" to the pressure of accepting it.

10%? ...and no balls to back it up other than to just accept it? There's a Leader for 'ya.

A public servant making $3M a year!

Imagine what youwould have to pay him if he actually did something like mow the lawn or dust the living room.

If you've got an extra couple of hundred thousand kicking around I really don't want it but if you're going to keep on insisting, I can send you my paypal account number.

Its not all that different on this side of the pond. Fat cats getting ever fatter while the workers get pay cuts and longer hours. Unions are powerless now, all the rights that people fought for years ago have been thrown out the window and all we hear from people at the top is waffle about how we all need to tighten our belts.
The problem is the only ones tightening belts are those of us at the lower end of the ladder.

So true on this side of the pond as well. Examples are everywhere.

The TVA has a few Nuke plants too.

Rivers take maintenance, and the River Operations group does that.
