As you know I bought a very nice looking 2001, illusion red, (yes , I know, fastest color) GW a couple weeks ago. Been very busy and wasn't able to go get it registered until today. After waiting 45 minutes at the DMV I finally get to the counter. I tell the clerk I need to register the bike. "What it is it" he says. I tell him it's a 2001 Wing. "OH, very smooth running." "Yes it is." I say. After a moment of staring at his screen he says, "uh oh.you have a problem." I really hate it when they say I have a problem. I'd really rather it was them what had the problem. WhenI bought the bike from the PO, we met athis credit union and I gave them the check and they cleared hisloan. Then, apparently, they sent the title to the state or to my credit union or somewhere. What it means is I can't register the bike until the title comes back in something like 5 to 6 weeks. That sucks. So tomorrow I have to go to his credit union and try to find out what they did with the title. When I clear thatmystery up I hope to be able to get temp plates until the title problem is fixed. Don't know if that is poossible. Since the ones that are on there ran out in January I can't ride at all.Bollocks!

The last time I was involved in a title snafu, I ended up having to buy a "Bonded Title" which involved more background Notary work and documents than I even want to bother telling you about.

My oldest son got burned really bad on a truck once...He bought it, the guy gave him a title, things were great!!!!...Several days later he finally got the time to go to the court house to get it transferred into his name and get new tags.....The woman ran the paperwork into the computer, told him to wait just a minute....Then two cops walked over, put him in cuffs????? Took him across the hall to the county sheriffs sub station, charged him with grand thief auto?????

Seems the truck had been stolen, an open title was in the glove box....The guy that he bought it from had stole it, found that title and ran an ad in the local paper....My son bought it...The guy that sold it to him?????....Gone never found......Had it not been for two of my sons friends that were there when he bought it, my oldest would have been in prison....Lawyers, court costs my son paid, but it darn near bankrupted his new business.....

Now he will only buy vehicles from car dealers no individuals....A hard learn lesson lasts a life time.....
