Since I now have a new abode up in Oologah, Oklahoma, I have taken an interest in the weather that away.

Just now, I looked and saw a lot of precip indicated, so I clicked on the button to show rain fall and got a real shocker.

Oklahoma is floating down hill !!! Look at this radar map and measured precipitation noted in the circles.

Around OKC there are indications of:
2.00
2.07
2.54
2.79 inches of rain in the last 24 hours!

That's a flood in most places.

Out here in the desert of Arizona, the street got wet when I forgot to turn off the water hose soaking the trees.

John, my rain gauge, here in OKC, reads 4.5 inches since Friday night. Needed it though and not complaining.

We got any where from4 to 6 inches of rain over the weekend here, ain't going to complain at all....My yard looks like crap, dried up and might need to be replanted next year.....Water restrictions in place, and just a basic water bill is too much, so my yard sure liked the rain it got....Whirlwinds???? Yeah we get those sometimes too, and some aint too nice for sure, just be sure you have a hiding place brother....
