My Bride and I were planning on taking the trailer to Vincennes which is about a 17 mile one way trip. We were going to get a load of animal feed in the trailer. Well that is what we planned. We ended up driving to Evansville, IN, about 70 miles one way and then managed to drive another 70+ miles just for the fun of it. Came home with 9 bags of critter feed for the MILs menagery. Roughly 420 lbs. in the trailer.
I just calculated that every mile cost $.095 just for gasoline. The van would have been about $.20 a mile for gasoline.
We rolled the bike off the lift table and took some pictures of it clean. Got mud on the wheels just turning it around in the road. What a beautiful 82 degree day with 16 mph winds and partly cloudy sky. 30% chance of rain but the grimlem bell made it miss us. Hope all of you got a nice spring ride.
Here is a picture of it before we started really getting it dirty.
Life is a collection of stories we old people tell and hope a few will listen and carry them into the future.
There is a story to everything we have, everyone we have met and everything we have done or we will do or dream about doing.
We sometimes ride to forget, but hopefully we never forget to ride.
