Yup, that's an ugly car. Lots of rust, but not enough.

Harley Earle was a great influence for this car and to the point of blantant design ideas. We used to have some great names in design. Earle was one and Raymond Lowey was another. Lowey designed many cars from the studebakers to lincolns. He also designed the looks of farm tractors. Today it is a team that takes credit.

Life is a collection of stories we old people tell and hope a few will listen and carry them into the future.

There is a story to everything we have, everyone we have met and everything we have done or we will do or dream about doing.

We sometimes ride to forget, but hopefully we never forget to ride.

There's a show called "Chasing Classic Cars" with a guy named Wayne Carini... he was at that auction for one of the episodes. I can't remember if he's the guy that bought it, but I know he was at least bidding on it. It may be pig ugly, but you'll see that puppy on the course at Pebble Beach and it'll be up there with the million dollar cars.

1985 LTD.... 121,000 miles and counting

It will be interesting to see if it ever gets restored, and how much it will cost.
