Alison is a fine fiddler, a very good singer, and not hard to look at either, but the best fiddler I've ever heard is Vasser Clements. Here's a song with Vasser and the best guitar picker I've ever heard, Dickey Betts, formerly of the Allman Brothers Band, plus a bad-ass flat/steel guitar player, Chuck Leavell of "Jessica" fame playing piano, and others. It's a great song that I bet few of you have ever heard. When I was on radio 35 years ago, it's what I closed my show with every time, because it was great and it is long, so I could just fade it out into the news.....
