Google even has their hands in it.
...not much of a choice, really.
Interpretation (or handling) of web addresses from one system to another makes optimization kinda stringy. Seems Google is tired of keeping everything within a single balloon and would love to see a fracturing of platforms.

As to AT&T, remember that Linux sprung from Unix, ...the originator of it.

back in 1968, when I was in college, almost graduated, IBM sent a rep to our school, they asked me to take a job down in Corpus Christi, TX....

at the time, I was still a 'home boy' and turned them down....
was that stupid, or what?

I would know UNIX inside out instead of winders.

Welcome to the 'Miscellaneous Forum'.
Feel free to discuss issues with your computer or Windowz10. Snowblowers, lawnmowers or whatever we have answers and if not we'll make some up.

Reminds me of what I tell my wife when she and I and another couple go out for an evening. I tell her, "You and Beth go shopping, Ted and I will just sit here on this bench and lie to each other."

...just come from my friends (Jeremy) place. He put together a new computer running Win10.
That thing is incredibly fast.
I don't know all of the specs, but it currently has 32gb of RAM with everything water-cooled.
It has more memory (8gb) on the video card than all of my stuff combined.
He has set it up for gaming.
I told him, "...just wait until you start getting into video. That thing will edit (render) like nothing I've ever used."

His set-up tells me that Win10 needs LOTS of memory.
He's going to add another 32gb of RAM shortly..

...crazy how fast that thing is. I'm impressed.

Win10 does run faster than Win7, I can't dispute that.

I just can't handle the way they want us to use it.

The specs he put together in that thing? oh my, would I ever enjoy using it....

I have always had a big thing about "lack of response", when I click a key, I want "things to happen now!"

and it is hard to do with a full blown Windows install....
I use a lot of tricks to get rid of stuff I don't want running in the background, so that all of the resources are available for my keyboard and mouse....

I bought this PC about 6 years ago and it was all I could afford. To get faster, I would have to go with Water Cooling and that was to far over the top for me.

The Graphics card is maxed out on RAM, but it don't show in this spec diagram for some reason.... I know the video card does not use Main RAM, it is separate so as not to slow down the CPU.

Yep, what he put together is mind-boggling fast.
I'll see if he can get shot of the specs for it and post it up..

A water cooled computer? How does that work?
