Did you ever...

Procrastinate enough?

I pulled the SD card out of my video camera, copied files from it, and laid the camera down on the printer.... to put back on the bike.....

the next morning, I just grabbed the camera and put it back where it belongs.

The SD card? it was laying loose on the table......

oh well, I will get to that in a minute......

well, that minute turned into a couple of days and now I can't find it

I just found 2 new spares in China for $14.24 each, which is half of what they will cost me locally at the dime stores.

sigh!!! 14-20 day delivery though....
I have a 128 gB SD card, I am going to find out if the camera will even recognize it.
It says it can only handle a 32 gB card......

I did that, except the SD card had my son's wedding pictures on it. Oh, and I was still procrastinating putting the pictures on the computer, flash drive, CD or any other storage unit as a back up. My wife wasn't too happy with me. About 6 months later it did show up. I got lucky on that one.

John, that's not procrastination, that's old age.

They are the size, shape and color of cockroaches, and just as hard to find. It also explains their ability and propensity to move and hide.

oh, have you ever got that right.

The first time I tried to remove it from the video camera, it must have had a rocket launcher behind it. It just disappeared to not be seen again. I later found it in the driveway, 20 feet from where the bike was parked. it had imprints from our car tires on it.... stuck it in the PC and nada... dead.

This one, I "lost it" sitting right next to my keyboard... it is the same exact color as the table top

it stayed gone two days that time..... when I found it, I should have just got up and installed it in the video camera "right now".....

nah, too cold out there, will do that tomorrow.........

Oh, today, I stuck a 128 gB card in the video camera and went for a ride.
The camera fired up, looked like it was recording, but when the 5 minute window to save file arrived, the camera turned off..... and won't turn back on until the bike's key is turned off.....

key on, camera on..... 5 minutes later, camera off....

so, I wait for a 32 gB chip to arrive from somewhere in china....
just found one in Korea that is 75 cents cheaper, but the delivery date on it is 28 days..

Is it just me but as my eyesight gets less night workable they now make things worse by making everything black. A black alarm clock with black switches with black embossed symbols. And I'm expected to see it in the dark.
