Used the lift today, to help with mounting the rear shocks back on. The new rear springs are in. Takes about 15 minutes to do a shock once you get a jig made to compress the springs! most of the time is spend measuring ATF to pour in the shock. Pretty sure the New front progressives will be here Monday according to tracking. Also have my Radio I ordered due the same day. Im thinking my mail man hates me, he drives to my house now then walks the route! Wife's new helmet came she likes it just, she isnt much on riding any sort of real distance. Im going to have to get here eased in the distance.

Got the front progressives installed finally. Made a seal install tool out of some 1 1/2 PVC, man that made it so easy! I did not pull my forks out either! Put the lower end together poured the oil in the top and started the bolts. To make it easier "Index" the top bolts mark it with a sharpie makes it so much easier. Have to actually mount the Radio in the dash of the wing, it comes out at about 120mph due to the wind coming up from the bottom. Im going to experiment with some air in the front tomorrow maybe start with 2 lbs. I put 45 in the rear and it worked great.
The PVC tools I made was one piece about 6 inches long then cut length wise I held it in my hand and started the top shim, then I cut 3- 3 inch lengths and cut a piece out so it would slip around the then wrapped them around each other and used then to drive the seal down. Also used them to make sure the lock ring was seated and locked.

Cleaned my mess up and mounted the radio in the GL1200, went for a ride as well. I must say I love those lil Pyle Speakers!!! Even at high speeds I can hear the radio. Also when my phone rings it switches over to it, then I can answer it on the switch on my helmet if I want to answer it. I only answer the kids and the wife, in case they need me. I really think Im done tinkering on the GL1200, time to start on the GL1100. Time for a new mess in the shop I guess.

Springs worked awesome, Radio was great even at high speeds! Lost the rear brakes second day out on the way home, it really looks like i didnt tighten the rear caliper after I did the brakes. Im sure I did but Im not going to dwell on it, ill just fix it. Have to help the boy get his truck and camper ready for his work, he's headed to Nebraska. Its been years since I did a tune-up on a 7.3 diesel. Got to move it from the park to my house so he can save a months rent, and fix all the little things. Oh so I can show him how to fix it all, you know what I mean if you have kids. Sorry I havnt been around but been reloading ammo for my rifles and finishing the last 3 builds I had started. Still waiting on insurance approval for the second knee surgery, so thats moving like pond water! Hope everyone is well I'll be back soon, I need to fix the rear brakes on the wing (tomorrow Hopefully)!

Sounds like you keep plenty busy . Glad to hear projects being completed. Hopefully the weather is getting better for your riding season.
Prayers for a good outcome with the knee.

Yea, the knee thing has my whole life sort of on hold. Got my sons camper moved in "Its Huge", wired it up to my 220 so he's happy. Put the wing on the lift so will start tearing it down to really see whats up. Tonight I been relaxing making bullets, its really relaxing for me.

Worked on my GL1200 today had to replace the front tire, I will say this Shinko is the best tire I have had on this bike. I also dont feel the GROOVED pavement!!! This alone would make me ecstatic but it rides really nice too!
