The wish list

I have looked into a new 2018 wing and priced it out hoping to get a plain jane with no gps, no radio, and due to the now 6 speed the only viable option is the dct.
Unfortunately it's 30k bells and whistles and that's the only option. I really wish they would offer a bare bones bike where one can just add DCT and opt out of all the electronics. That would be nice.

That's just the way the Japanese operate, you buy what they sell with only the option of a few accessories. It's not like when you could walk in to a domestic car dealership and order one exactly like you want it. I do wish you could buy one with the bare essentials.

  • 4 spd shifter Hurst Competition Plus : OK
  • Posi-trac ( limited slip ) : OK
  • Air Conditioning : uh, you aren't allowed to have that, this is a High Performance car.
  • Color choice : chose gold body, black top. should have went solid black
  • Disc Brakes : uh, you aren't allowed to have those sir, they are only available on xyz car... WTH? I need to be able to stop, I want Disc Brakes.... sorry, no can do

There's no more bare bones Goldwings, the only one offered is the Goldwing F6B but it still has some bells and whistles. Gone are the GL Interstate models, it faded into history with the 1500.

...seems like alot of things faded into history with the 1500. I tell people my '91 is vintage.

It would be eligible for an antique tag here in my state.

I only ride collector plate eligible bikes, no annual registration and 1/3 the cost.

You could get two and three tone, mix any colour interior with any colour exterior. Now you get grey or off grey interior with unicolour exterior. The joy of marketing.
