Today, forty years ago.

February of 79 was a leap year. I boarded a Pan Am fight from Vienna to NY.
I was in there as a political refugee.
In March 1 st I stepped on American soil with a suitcase to my life. I was 22 years old, well qualified as an electrician and a very limited English.

Thru enormous hard work, determination and luck I made were I am.
Now I have two suitcases.

Back then I used to know all the states an their capital and I occasionally looked at the map and wondered what Joe or john does in a little village ,in the middle of America , where the kids go to school and how his village looks like.

Most likely I passed thru hundreds of Joe"s village in my trips with my beautiful wife in the back of my great Wing.
The trips will continue and this year we will try to prove the existence of Santa to our three grand kids.
Mackenzie was born a few days ago as a precious addition to the Mission Control . Destination North Pole.
Thank you America!

I make sense all the time. The problem is you only listen intermittently

And you did it the right way. We seem to have a few million or so that have not. Enjoy America, you've earned the right.
