HI, is there much diference between the 82 and 83 seat. I understand that the 1983 Aspencade had better rear seating, becasue it was longer???

Is this true. And which of these two bikes the 82 or 83 would get better milage??

Any help would be appricated. NOw that the snow is gone, I am seriously on the hunt. It is a choice between a 1982 Interstate in wonderful shape or a 1983 Apspencad with more KMs, but also in wonderful shape.

The 82 is $3500 Can. the 83 is $3500 as well the 82 has about 95,000 and the Apencade has 130,000

Someone will come along with the specs shortly, I have little knowledge of the 1200. I took a quantum leap from the 1100 to the 1500. Do you already own a Wing or is this a new purchase?

Keep on winging

It would be an absolute no-brainer which is the better bike for me. There's a long list of improvements from an '82 to and '83. I already posted them just recently.

The seat is longer by 2 inches or xx centimeters. The trunk sat back another 2 inches because of that. You should get better mileage because of the overall higher gearing. The '83 tends to run 3700 rpm at 70 mph (convert to metric as needed) where the '82 will run around 4200 rpm at the same speed.
