I have just returned from a run (on my 1800) with my mate on his Vulcan and would like to know how we can communicate with each other. Although my 1800 is an Australian specmodel, I purchased and installed a Hondaline Cb radio from the states as G/W riders all use that model down here. This all works great when out with G/w riders but when I go out with my mate on his Vulcan we cannot communicate so I would like to know if it is possible to purchase a portable CB unit that my mate can carry, with microphone and ear pieces that can be fitted in his helmetand possibly a transmit button on the handlebars.. It will have to work on the same freqency as the US Hondaline radio fitted to my bike. In the G/w club we use channel 1 down here. Can anyone suggest what we use.

Regards to all.

I use a the Midland 75-822 handheld CB with motorcycle headset from:

www.radiogadgets.com

Radio was $104.95
Headset was $54.95

This set up works great on my bike.

I really like the portable Midland. I have many links related to the installation of this on the wings.
