has there been any more thoughts on having a junior wing membership for our wonderful forum, i personally would get a kick out of what they had to say and being able to educate them in the ways of a biker/ bike lover..........

further to this i vote that they get their own space eg: junior forum to be moderated by a responsible adult ( don't look at me ) that way they can express their views and experiences to do with bikes and road runs with parents/ friends.....

At 50, would I be the oldest member.?

At least we might get some members to ask how to work, the remote on the television, MP3 players and computers!!!

I have nothing against this idea, providing some would use it.

Pete

I would be happy to offer services as a moderator. Being 26, I might be the closet in age to the junior members. And hey, it provides some mentorship to young riders, which I know helped keep me from getting killed.

Errrrrrr....are you fishing for compliments Pete....oh, all right then........NO, you are definitely not the oldest........you 'super-smooth' old thing you.

On a more serious note, whilst the principle of this proposal has its merits, there are some very serious issues to consider in relation to child protection. I understand that a number of young people do already occasionally access these Forums, although it may be difficult to identify them. Unless there is some mechanism in place preventing them from accessing certain Forums (the Fun Forum springs to mind) there would have to be some serious re-thinking of the tone ofsome of the posts and far greater 'self-policing' by members.

You guys are always trying to divide us up aren't you.
When you want to see how well that doesn't work, spend a little time on the GWRRA board and have someone with an older bike accidentally ask a question in the Technical Forum.

I joined up with GWRRA because I thought I was missing out on something really good.

I haven't been to any of the Wing Dings yet, but you don't have to be a member for that. So far, all I have seen of benefit is the magazine; and quite honestly there isn't anything in that magazine that is worth the money.

I doubt seriously that I will be renewing my membership.

The scheduled rides always seem to be at a time when I am working anyway.

The forum stinks. I just cannot like their software and I have tried to like it. Too cumbersome and way user unfriendly.

I'll leave the comments on the forum users to others to make. I just never got a "Glad Hand" welcome from the place. In fact, I doubt if anyone on that forum even knows who I am: Unless, they are members here also.

I thought this was the Junior forum ... how old are you?

Anyone can drive a new motorcycle. It's keeping the vintage ones rolling that make it fun!
