...and afew photos from our ride today.

We visit the gift shop on Holy Island and they had lots of Mead for sale. They also had free samples.

Wow, that Mead is good stuff and of course, it's made from Honey which Bears can't resist.

A quiet weekend this week - not. On Sunday it was Armed Forces Day here in England, so Geordiemuppet and Christine were busy with the Royal British Legion Riders Branch stand at our local event at Bents Park in South Shields.
We had a good day, signed up some new members, sold lots of Poppy Merchandise and took quite afew donations.
Here I am having a rest on the stand after all the hard work of setting up - and Geordiemuppet will tell you he did all the work, but I don't see him in the picture.

geeze hobo you could have joined me in Guam, but since I'm home now you are more than welcome to visit Hawaii. If you get here soon enough, maybe I can talk to the airline and see if they will let you fly with us to the Big Island to see the volcanos.

Hobo has been spending the last week at the UK Treffen sampling a few beers no doubt along with 500 or so Goldwingers from all over Europe.
he hitched a ride back down from Scotland with one of the Southern riders and will hopefully recover enough to get to me before we head to South Carolina in late September.
I am sure that by then he will be ready to party on again!!

Pete

Hobo has arrived and is now visiting King North Carolina!

He has many pins and patched from places he has been and things that he has done, but I don't see any BRP, Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala pins and the all important pin, Moonshiners 28! That shall soon change!

Gave Hobo a quick tour of the Mansion and grounds, introduced him to the 4 dogs that we have......... He liked the 2 Long haired Chihuahua's but shivered a bit when the Golden Retriever came out...... But they got along just fine.

Hobo really likes the Wine room's. One is a wall to wall, floor to ceiling wine rack that holds about 2000 bottles when full, but only has about 400 to 500 bottles on it now. Then there is the wine making room where there are about 40 gallons of wine in various stages of age. Again........ Hobo started Shivering...........

2012 Gl1800 Trike w/Hannigan Kit. 16000
2001 GL1800 ........ 73000 Miles
1989 GL1500 ...... 133000 miles and climbing

Darksider #551 - Austone Taxi Tire / Yokohama
Honorary Rhino.......

Honorary Newfie!! I have kissed the Cod, downed the Screech, and shouted "Long may your big jib draw!" so I am now a member of the Royal Order of Newfoundland Screechers.

Life is Hard.......... It's even Harder if your Stupid.......... Don't ask me how I know.

Trust me John, he was not shivering when he saw the wine, he was shaking with anticipation!!! I just hope you sleep with the keys to the cellar round your neck and even then, best keep one eye open, 'cause boy that little fella does like his drink!!
I might also suggest you put a flyer round the area warning any neighbours to lock up their daughters, only he sure has an eye for the ladies.
Actually, best warn them to lock up their sisters and mothers and grandmothers, while you are at it too!!

Oh, just one more thing, probably best to not let him drive, only he has spent a fair amount of time on the other side of the Pond and is used to cars being on the other side of the road.
