I occasionally look through good old eBay at the goldwings that are for sale and lately I have seen several items for sale that were a fraud. When you click the link for the listing, it pops up for a second and then you get redirected to a non eBay site where the scum hope you will enter your username and password. Real eBay listings start with http://cgi.ebay.com/... Go to eBay's help section and read up on keeping your sensitive information safe. The few minutes it takes could save a lot of money and hassle.

This is the specific item number I am talking about right now. 190147870334. I did report this item. Hopefully it will be gone soon.

Buy it now for 2400 dollars should be a dead giveway. I notice they run these frauds on the weekend when most Ebay folks are not working...

Pretty common on eBay. Been going on for a long time. Tip offs are ridiculously low prices, requiring the bidder to be approved using some email address, unregistered member symbol, no feedback info, and such.

The scammers would be smarter to ask more money for the bikes they are supposedly selling. Anyone who tries to buy an 1800 trike for $2000 deserves to lose their money.

It's common for them to hijack someone's legitimate bid page. They just copy it and hang it back up with their email address and require bidders to contact them that way on one or another pretext.

When you see these listings, send it to [email protected]. They will deal with the culprit. (Anyone want to buy a 2007 GL1800 trike for only $4,800.00? Send an email to [email protected]).
