In this town we have many parts houses to choose from but it seems that they all are idiots! I tried to call a few places to find timing belts for my 98 SE and I even gave them a Napa number, Gates number and the Goodyear number and they all say we don't have a listing or it would need to be ordered.

So, what I'm looking for is someone that can tell me what CAR THIS BELT FITS so I can try to find them that way. Here are the numbers I got from the Goldwing tips page:

Napa # 250275
Gates # T275
Goodyear # 40275

Thank you for your expertise on this!

I normally deal with the local Advanced Auto Parts Stores as the prices and the availability is usually good, just not this time!

According to NAPA's website, you have 4 NAPA stores in Colorado Springs, how about you walk in or call and ask for NAPA part number 250275. They may need to order them, but you'll have them in a day or two. Seems to me the most logical solution.

I am an autoparts salesman,as well as ASE certified parts specialist. Not at a NAPA but rather a small jobber in the grand rapids area. The store label is irrelevant,You should not have any troubles with the numbers you have.I have gotten many t-belts for myself and friends goldwings with no trouble.Youve already done half the work and gave them the number.

It shouldnt take more thanday or two.

If you have more problems,I can run the numbers through a buyers guide for other aplications,or I could ship you a couple, but Im shore theres some closer that you dont need to pay shipping on.

Id have to ask doubleeyes but I believe his for his 1500where under $20.00 each.

If you continue to have trouble, ask for another countreman.

There was a post a while back about cross referencing the timing belts, and the T275 is for the GL1500 motorcycle. Gates website does not list any other makes or models it fits.

The GL1200 belt does fit some cars though.

Well thanks anyhow guys. I guess I'm just trying to save myself a few more bucks. Napa says $38.00 each for the belts but I know if I could get them at any other part store they would be cheaper. Napa has the highest markup on parts in this area!

I guess I'm just stuck with Napa's markup!

Unfortunately, Napa outlets have their own owners, and they're pretty much free to charge what they want. I priced them at 4 different stores in this area, and they all have a different price. They are going from 26.00+ to almost 30.00. Do you have a Schuck's. I think they are a little cheaper. Any price at NAPA is better then the stealer. I think the local st quoted me 66.00 apiece!

Oh, and the 1500 Goldwing belt is Goldwing specific, unlike the earlier belts.

I got mine from Napa for about $20 bucks apiece, but I get jobber price. Don't you have any buddies that own a garage that could buy them for you? Remember, Napa is one of the last places that actually gives a jobber price different than retail.

Thanks to Silicon Sam and SB in SC for letting me know that these belts are only for the Wing and not put on any other vehicles. I guess I'll have to do some more phone calls to see if I can find these belts at any other parts house but Napa but if not I'll be paying $38.00 a piece for them. And yes, that is still much better than the stealer!

I poked in the part number on NAPA's website, they charge $29.99 per each there.

Maybe someone can help you purchase them locally, and mail them to you. Around $5.00 for Priority Mail should do it.

I don't know what they cost around here though.
