Last weekend I catched a flight to Aberdeen, Scotland and picked up a new bike .

Guys, in my life I travelled a lot on various bikes and I saw many nice places in my life - but I`ve never been in such a simular area like Scotland before. It was amazing. The landscape is just wonderful. Small narrow roads, no traffice, just sheep around . All the time up and down and left and right. Yep I had a blast on the new Wing in the Highlands.

Thanks Goose !!!

Saturday and Sunday I toured in the Highlands. Monday I made it to the lake District area - also a wonderfull place. On Tuesday I met up with theMTCE Members from the UK. We had great night on Tuesday. Finally made it back home on Wednesday. 1150 Kilometers Trip total 3000 Kilometers in 4 and a half days.

Here are a few pictures.

Finally back home in the Allgäu Mountains

Looks like you really had a great time. That is a good looking bike too.

The photos sure makes one want to travel. I see the one of you camping. I read years back that most countries on that side of the pond allow a night camping in most places and that most land owners will allow you to camp if you ask. Is that still the way it is?

Over here, most of the land owners would run you off with their dog and gun!

Yep, it was an mazing ride I had. Never been in Scotland before.

It is not allowed to camp wherever you want in europe. In Scotland it is allowed to camp whereever you want. It is allowed since last year as far as I know.

The picture showed a place at a campground. I did not camp in the "free nature"

Rudy, where exactly is Allgau? It seems to me that I have been there before.

Big Kahuna:

The Allgäu Mountainsis the western part of the German Alps. My home is pretty close to the "Schloss Neuschwanstein" known as "Cinderellas Castle".

Here are a few pictures from the Allgäu Mountains

Incredible pictures-I thought I took some nice pictures when I was over that way last month, but these pictures make mine look not quite as spectacular...the shot of the sailboat looks familiar-where did you take that one?

Great pictures Rudy. On my trip through Scotland in the 90s, we went through the lake area and even helped operate one of the manual locks in the system. We also stopped at the Gorge. This gorge is 200ft + deep and very narrow. There are overhanging viewing stations and a rope bridge too.

They say it takes three trips to see Scotland. Maybe in my next life. Pricey for us now.

Thanks for the memories.
