The dealer we bought our 2007 Gold Wing from called last week and invited us up to a customer appreciation night, last night. Dinner was being provided. We went there and it was really nice. They gave all of us a complete, behind the scenes tour of the facility. Parts, mechanics bay, etc. We looked at the catalog and they had the bag inserts for $116. Then they had the GOOD bags for $196. We thought about the cheap ones, for $80 difference. Well, they had a drawing. 4 or5 winners. About 30 people there. I won a free oil and filter change, then the wife won a $50 gift certificate for parts or accessories. I didn't need the oil change so the gave us $30 for it and with the other $50, we got the expensive inserts for the cheaper price.

Good draw..
Our Honda dealer has a hot dog feed at Halloween...
If you come in costume you get 10% off on parts..
I guess he has a higher overhead.............

Back to riding after a 30 yr lay off.. Started with a 86 Magna 750 on to a 02 Shadow 1100,99 Magna 750,91 ST1100, finaly a 93 Wing.. and now an 06 1800 Loven Life...

The only dealer here that seems to be community minded, or has customer appreciation events is the Harley dealer.

Never a peep from the others that I know of.

Same thing around here. May have something to do with all the Harleys on the streets.
