Today, I rode.........

Not much of a ride: fired up the KLR 650 and first rode 5 miles for VFW coffee and b.s. (how come everybody in Vietnam was Special Forces or Rangers? I was over there in 65' and 66' and I never saw that many of either........ I guess it's funny, or forgiveable, but I hate it when people pretend tohave been what they weren't.... All Military Service Is Honorable.... cook or 11Bravo, mailman or Armor Scout, I don't care what you were as long as youwere there and did your job...... Sorry, rant over!) And then after I left the coffee group -- slightly p.o.d..... Irode out to our training hill, climbed 1800' in two miles, had a drink of good, cool water, watched the rain storms over the Kittitas, came down the hill and thenrode home along the river.... Probably under 30 miles all told, but I am riding again!

Thank The Good Lord!!!!! First ride since March 15!

Thanks to all you who had the patience to listen to me"moan and twitch" while I was in a sling post-op.... thank you andplease forgive me. I don't suffer well.......

Men do not tolerate pain as well as women. Good to see you are able to use the shoulder; enough to ride at least. Keep it simple and do not injure yourself by overdoing it. I have been riding the wheels off my scoot since the weather has improved. But I put over 4,000 miles on it thru the winter. I love the pics of the Washington area. Would love to see them one day. It is so clear and green here in TN right now. The air is polished and the sun is so bright--everything is so vivid it almost hurts. The streams running crystal clear; can't stay off the bike. Ride easy Mel, but ride to your heart's content! I thought about checking out the VFW but have never gotten around to it. Too many irons in the fire now.

I'm happy for you. Start with a few short trips to get the shoulder used to it again; then hit it!

It's just that everyone gets to wear the pretty berets now and you know, they all look alike in the dark

Glad you're back upright, even if you were a grunt. Hand salute anyway...

Glad to hear you're back CJ. Didn't seem that long, to me anyways, but bet it was an eternity for you.

Don't overdo it! You certainly don't want any setbacks.......Ride safe.
