Showing that might add some awareness . Serious ticketing of violators might help as well .

I look twice after almost being run over by a garbage truck and that was in an 18 wheeler.

If you look close at the end of the commercial it looks like it was funded by the IDAHO STAR motorcycle safety program.

They really push motorcycle safety and education for the general public.

I learned a long time ago in drivers Ed to look three times, once when you roll up, once when you are thinking it is clear, and again before you ever roll out into the road. Our teacher taught us that what you thought you saw the first two times may have changed and you not see the guy you pull out in front of!!

I bet you around here they don't teach nothing like what we were taught on how to drive!!!!

You can tell by being out on the road with these people.

I wish those commercials were on all the stations around here!!!

I was working with a guy today and he related that a friend's wifecollided witha M/C. She looked and thought she saw a bicycle and figured she would have lots of time to pull out.

She was wrong.

nobbie, those are the words I live by on my bike.

People keep asking me if it is dangerous to ride. I just tell them that as far as I am concerned no one see's me, "I am invisible" (except for the LEO's that give speeding tickets).

As far as I am concerned every vehicle on the road is out to get me and I must make sure they don't. After many years of riding like that it becomes natural to be scanning all around you for idiots.

My youngest daughter (36) rides and she also rides as if she is invisible to everyone else on the road. I am now passing that onto my grandson who has been riding dirt bikes for 4 years now. (12).

I also think they should play that commercial on TV more, but with the cost of the advertising second I don't see how they can pay for that type of coverage. Maybe it could be played to everyone who is applying for a license or a renewal. Put that thought into the back of the head of everyone on the street.

I love the saying "Just because your paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you"
