Yeah I was kidding but to tell you the truth, I think what I'm in the middle of right now is just as foolish. I'm going double dark a few days before we leave on a summer long adventure. Doesn't give me much time to get used to the feel of the new tires. I'm also pulling a trailer for the first time and haven't taken any practice runs yet. Got the new front tire on and reworked my front lights. Converted cornering light to LED running lights. Swapped position lights for LED and replaced headlights with Silverstar Ultras. I found I had a 20+ year old modulator that had no power to the left headlight so I went back to original headlight configuration but left the modulator for the back brake and tail lights. I like the strobe and wig-wag when I put on the brakes. Later today I will be pulling everything off the back so i can replace the back tire and lube the drive shaft. All the brakes are virtually new so if the back bearings are good to go, I can put it back together and hopefully have a couple days to get used to the new feel.

Last night I installed a belly pan and moved my L.E.D. lights I had. Unfortunately I hate the position of the L.E.D. lights as you can see them (I hate seeing things that "shouldn't be" there). So today's project will be repositioning.

Anytime,John.
Just get in touch with lopeha. He knows where i live!
I like doing paint work, even though it can sometimes be a chore.
Andy and I are going to be doing some more work, later this year, also.
I just wish I was better at airbrush work.
I stopped at the storage unit, and got my fairing lowers, and front and rear fenders.
Those are my next project.
Andy mentioned powder coating the engine guards, and rear guards in black, and I kind of like the idea!
Especially since I hate polishing chrome!LOL!
I'm also playing with a way to re-plate the emblems.

inner trunk lid bag

Using about 85% of my mechanical ability I was able to use a Phillips screwdriver and install this trunk lid bag. Figure it can hold some small items in a space that I hadn't realized could be used. Took all of 10 minutes to install. Hope all the other things I want to put on go this well!

What I did today - Rubbed her and gently whispered to her that I was sorry I didn't have time to ride her and that as soon as work gave me time we would go out and spend some miles together.

Keep the wheels down and ride!

So the 1500 I bought recently didn't come with a CB. I've been bidding on one on Ebay and decided to pull the fairing pocket to see what was there for wiring. I installed a 12volt charger when I bought it. This is what I found...... I hate mice!!!

Welcome to the forum,Bobsiler!
Once you get that cleaned out, mix up some Arm& Hammer baking soda in a spray bottle. Use 1/3 cup soda , to 1 qt water, and stir well.
Then spray it in where the mouse nest was,and let it dry.
This will eliminate the possibility of smelling mouse urine,on a warm day!
